The Public Passenger Transport in Ljubljana has always been growing, ever since its beginnings in 1901, and developing together with the city and the needs of its inhabitants. Today, it is the vasculature of the city and the quality of services grows constantly.

As we are a public company, it is essential for the implementation of our mission that we co-operate closely with the Municipality of Ljubljana (MOL) and the suburban municipalities which represent their inhabitants and our passengers to whom we wish to provide modern, comfortable, safe and reliable transportation on their daily travelling routes and living in a nice city with appropriate traffic regulation.

Today, the company Javno podjetje Ljubljanski potniški promet d.o.o. (LPP d.o.o.) is a limited liability company. The sole owner and founder of PLL d.o.o. is JAVNI HOLDING Ljubljana, d.o.o. Besides the transportation of passengers in public urban and interurban traffic, with the nature of a public utility company, our auxiliary activities comprise the maintenance and repairs of commercial vehicles, technical examinations, type approvals and attestation of vehicles and occasional transportations (tourist, school and special purpose transportations) at home and abroad.

Urban Passenger Traffic (Mestni potniški promet - MPP)
MPP is carried out on 23 lines in total length of 292 kilometres. In 2010, the urban buses together drove a total of 11 million kilometres and transported over 41 million passengers. Line 6 carries the most passengers on a year basis, around 6 million.

The network of lines covers approximately 93.3 percent of the urban area of MOL, which means that 93.3 percent of the households in Ljubljana is less than five hundred metres away from the first bus stop, which is the European standard.

The transport of passengers in the territory of MOL is provided throughout the year but the time schedule and the frequency changes. It is adjusted to the school calendar and summer holidays when the volume of passengers is reduced. The number of passengers is the largest in winter and on weekdays, during morning and afternoon rush hours. If the weather is nice, we transport around 200,000 passengers a day.

Interurban Passenger Traffic - Bus d.o.o.
Bus d.o.o.'s regular lines provide transport services to passengers from municipalities around Ljubljana, namely: Borovnica, Brezovica, Vrhnika, Logatec, Horjul, Dobrova - Polhov Gradec, Medvode, Vodice, Mengeš, Cerklje na Gorenjskem, Ivančna Gorica, Grosuplje, Videm – Dobre polje, Škofljica, Ig in Gorenja vas - Poljane. Moreover, the interurban traffic comprises the services of arranged tourist, school and special purpose transports.

The length of all regular lines in the interurban traffic is 782 kilometres. In 2010, the interurban buses transported a total of 4.3 million passengers and drove 3,4 million kilometers.

LPP Workshops – A tradition that guarantees quality and trust
The Workshops Sector takes care of the perfect condition of the LPP buses and provides the servicing and repairs of the commercial vehicles for external clients. In the scope of this sector, there are a modern carwash and an authorised laboratory for tachographs, holder of the SIST EN ISO/IEC 17020:2004/C Standard.

Technical Examinations and Vehicle Type Approval – Trust your vehicle to the largest provider of technical examinations with the longest tradition in Slovenia

LPP Technical Examinations is the oldest and largest provider of technical examinations in Slovenia that has been providing quality services for its clients for 46 years. In 2003 we started with a radical renovation of technical examinations. We now have three lanes for personal vehicles, one for motorbikes and one for commercial vehicles, which is soon to be added another one, equipped in accordance with the provisions and the latest standards.

Documents, registrations, technical examinations of vehicles, insurance and toll payment can be arranged at a single location and we accept all credit cards. LPP Technical Examinations and Vehicle Type Approval offers free technical examination also when you do not need it but would still like to have it for your own safety when you are, for example, going on a long trip.

Besides that, we also perform the type approval procedure or individual approvals of a personal, cargo or tractor vehicle with the maximum weight of 3,000 kg and a tractor or tractor or tractor trailer, identification and assessment of the technical condition of a vehicle, examination and approval of a modified personal, cargo or tractor vehicle, bus or motorbike and approval of the integrated tractor device in the vehicle.
