Council of founders

The council of founders is a body that exercises the founders’ rights in the public companies associated in JAVNI HOLDING Ljubljana

At the end of 2003, the Expert Committee for the drafting of proposals and guidelines for the preparation of the Articles of Association of a common body for the area of public utility services, which was appointed on the basis of the Municipal Council decision by the Mayor of the Municipality of Ljubljana in the scope of implementing the corrective measures and imposed by the Court of Audit of the Republic of Slovenia, drafted a proposal of the Act on the founder’s rights and establishment of the council of founders of public companies associated in Holding Ljubljana, d.o.o. The Act was adopted by the Municipal Council of the Municipality of Ljubljana, the councils of the municipalities Brezovica, Dobrova - Polhov Gradec, Dol pri Ljubljani, Horjul, Ig, Medvode, Škofljica in Velike Lašče.

On the basis of the Act, the joint body of municipalities was established, namely the Council of the founders of companies associated in Holding Ljubljana, d.o.o., which is composed of the current mayors of the founding municipalities. The joint body of the municipalities was founded with the aim of implementing the founder’s rights in public companies associated JAVNI HOLDING Ljubljana, d.o.o. in and aligning the decisions in relation to the provision of mandatory and optional public utility services.

The composition of the Council of Founders

The Council of Founders is composed of the mayors of the municipalities:

  • Zoran Jankoviæ – mayor of the Municipality of Ljubljana
  • Stanislav Žagar – mayor of the Municipality of Medvode
  • Metod Ropret – mayor of the Municipality of Brezovica
  • Lovro Mrak mayor of the Municipality of Dobrova – Polhov Gradec
  • Janez Cimperman – mayor of the Municipality of Ig
  • Boštjan Rigler – mayor of the Municipality of Škofljica
  • Primož Zupančič - mayor of the Municipality of Dol pri Ljubljani
  • Janko Jazbec – mayor of the Municipality of Horjul
  • Anton Zakrajšek – mayor of the Municipality of Velike Lašče
